VLESS TLS handshake error

A TLS handshake error occurs before user traffic is proxied. Verify device time, domain and SNI agreement, certificate chain, ALPN, and transport support in the client core.

Checks

  • Enable automatic date, time, and time zone.
  • Refresh the subscription without editing SNI.
  • Test the domain certificate with a normal HTTPS request.
  • Compare the app version with a working device.
  • Test the unchanged profile on another network.

TLS and REALITY

Regular TLS requires a certificate matching the connection domain. REALITY also uses a public key and short ID. Do not copy SNI, path, flow, or security settings from another node.
